MENNEKES Automotive
MENNEKES Stecker GmbH & Co. KG was established at the beginning of 2011. As part of the MENNEKES Group, the Kirchhundem-based company develops and manufactures customised charging inlets and charging cables. This is for the automotive manufacturers and their suppliers, in accordance with national and international specifications in the future market of electromobility. The organisation and processes are geared to the needs of the automotive industry and meet the requirements of a quality management system according to the new IATF 16949.
Manufacturing and Products
All logistical processes in the automotive industry are mapped using the standard software SAP R3. A modern CAQ system which is the basis for transparency and reliability. The core competencies of all companies in the MENNEKES Group are used to develop and manufacture the charging cables and charging inlets. Our own special machine construction, the toolmaking of Midena Werkzeugbau GmbH and the plastics and metal processing of MENNEKES Elektrotechnik GmbH & Co. KG allow the rapid, and professional implementation of customer-specific requirements.
The MENNEKES Mode 3 charging cable type 2 is compatible with all type 2 e-cars and charging stations with integrated infrastructure socket. The charging cable can charge electric and hybrid vehicles 1 to 3-phase with a charging power of up to 22 kW (32 A) depending on the type of charging cable. Negen customer-specific solutions, the charging cable can be ordered in 4m and 7.5m lengths. Due to a potting of the plugs/couplings and a 2-k design of the grip shells, the mode 3 charging cable is designed to be robust and safe to grip.
